PINE BLUFF - Elizabeth "Betty" Krantz, age 90, of Pine Bluff, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Ingleside Manor. She was born on Feb. 25, 1932, the daughter of Bill and Clare (Morgan) Reisdorf.
Betty graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1950 and married Harold Krantz on May 29, 1954, in St. Mary's of Pine Bluff Catholic Church. Betty was a dedicated mother, homemaker and farm wife. She also worked at Karakahl Inn and retired from CUNA Mutual.
Betty was a woman of great faith and a lifelong member of St. Mary's Pine Bluff Catholic Church where she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women (Altar Society) and numerous other church committees. Betty was a lifelong supporter of Pine Bluff Home Talent Baseball, having served as business manager for over 40 years. She was an avid euchre and solo player. She enjoyed all types of puzzles. Betty will be remembered for her love of cooking, including her delicious caramels and fudge. Her heart and home were always open to everyone.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Mary (Robert) Mielke; five sons, Brad (Sue), Blaine (Sandy), Wayne (Nancy), Russell (Carolyn) and Jerome; son-in-law, Randy Steinberg; 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Paul Kalscheur; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (2010); son, William (2015); daughter, Joanne Steinberg (2020); sister, Pat Kalscheur; brother, Donnie Reisdorf and sister-in-law, Louan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Walter and Olga Krantz, Raphael and Florence Krantz, Leonard and Martha Krantz, Francis Krantz, Sister Mary Krantz, SSSF; and twin great-granddaughters, Quinn and Avery Golson (2009).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's of Pine Bluff Catholic Church, 3673 County Road P, Cross Plains, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, with Father Rick Heilman and Father Tom Coyle concelebrating. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, and again at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday.
