Thomas Joseph Lewis, Jr.

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Thomas Joseph Lewis, age 72, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Aug. 12, 1949, in Madison, Wis., the son of Thomas and Crystal (Smith) Lewis.

Tom loved to travel, exploring the entire United States and sometimes taking his brother Jerry along with him to visit their brother John. He loved adventures, be it camping, fishing or white-water rafting, just as long as he was outdoors. He liked to explore flea markets and hunt for treasures. Tom was a kind and simple man who was happy as long as he had his dog, Rocky, along for the ride. He worked for the State of Wisconsin in the University for 30 years.

Tom is survived by his brother, Michael (Gloria) Lewis; sister, Sandy (Jerry) Stanford and brothers John, Greg and Jerry Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022.
