I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Don’s was a life well lived. I remember going over to hang around at Jim’s (Head’s) place when we were in high school. We were always welcome and it was fun being that he lived on Squaw Bay. I never could figure out how to fly cast though. Of course Head was great at it. No surprise there. My best to the entire family and thanks for the memories. Kent Davidson.

Don ran track at UW while I was at Stoughton HS. One year there was a dual track meet between the top 3 finishers of the Big 10 and Pac 10 in Madison. Don won the mile from start to finish. He was running last in the 1/2 mile and streaked by all others in the last 200 yards. He was added to the mile relay team, which also won. It was an enjoyable meet, and to the best of my knowledge, they never ran that meet again.

Jim - Vic & I are sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. Wow, what a career he had. You should be very proud. Geoff Poole
