Obituary

MADISON - Quantaze Damon Campbell Sr. died on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022. He was born on June 7, 1976, to Linda F. Campbell and Marvin Phillips at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ind. Quantaze received his education in the Marion Public School System and in the Madison Public School System in Wisconsin. He ultimately received his high school diploma in 1997 from the Department of Public Instruction, and later received his Culinary Arts Degree.

Quantaze was always the beacon of joy and light. He was a man with many gifts, but his passion was always being there to help family and friends in need. He always wanted to make others feel loved. Quantaze was a fighter. He fought to see the good in others. He was a champion of fairness. He always looked for the positive aspect, even in the worst of circumstances. He fought to find his inner peace and contentment. He fought for his life until the very end.

Even though Quantaze was not perfect, as no one on this earth is, he was perfect for us. He was a light with a heart of gold. We are deeply saddened to lose him so soon. We seek comfort in knowing that his light will remain in the hearts of those that he truly loved.

Quantaze was preceded in death by his uncle, Charles Campbell; cousin, Everett Bonds; and his grandparents.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his mother, Linda F. Campbell; father, Marvin Phillips; his children, Sherrie Moore, Quantaze Campbell Jr., Quantazia Campbell, Quanise McClain, Yaquana Campbell and Alaysha Campbell; aunts, Deborah Taylor and Tanita Campbell; uncle, William Campbell; the partner he shared his life with, Dante McClain; and a host of additional cousins, great- aunts and uncles, extended family, friends and loved ones that will hold his memory close forever.

I remember when Quantaze was a baby and he use to sleep with his feet like a frog. I use to hold and spoil him even when he started getting bigger. I love and miss my cousin so much. RIP CUZ, LOVE GINA

The Patterson-Griffin family would like to send our deepest condolences and prayers to the Campbell family. We were all like family and went thru a lot together. Quez was like the little annoying nephew that always wanted to tag along, but he always kept a smile (even when Chucky would punch him lol). How that smile and voice will be greatly missed. RIH Quez and Chucky..

Still unbelievable, I will always remember the memories we shared as kids when I would come to Wisconsin to visit. I remember the last time we spoke, it was myself, you, and boogie, you asking me what's up cuz let's get a food truck, boogie told me how you get down.... I'm sure the two of you are embracing one another. Love you cuz..... My sincere condolences to our entire family, my love and prayers are with each and every one of you. I'll be there in thoughts holding you all. May God give you each comfort and strength daily.
