Your Dad was one of the biggest advocates for veterans and their care. Bud has influenced many in his circle and took great pride in being a legion member. I do hope that you will keep his legacy alive and present in the American Legion. God bless.

So sorry for your loss. Bud was a wonderful neighbor to me when I lived on next door on Duke Street for 28 years. I recall that he took pity on me when I first moved in and offered to mow my lawn as he saw me stuggle with my push mower. It made me feel good to repay the favors a few times when he was out of town, but those few times certainly did not make up for the years he mowed my lawn. I will always fondly remember he and Joann.

Adalbert ( Bud ) was my baptismal sponsor in July 1945 and I of course can't remember that event. I thought of him being my sponsor over the years and after I served four years in the Air Force 1964-68, Bud asked if I wanted to join the legion.
The last few years since Mary Ann passed away , I've called Bud and chatted and that was very enjoyable for me and Bud I know enjoyed it also. I called his phone number last week and left a message for him, not know he was probably already gone beyond. May his soul rest in peace and my sympathy for his family.
Sincerely, Bill Mautz

Bud was an inspiration to me. He mentored me in my district and state American Legion offices. Bud I pray that you will rest in peace.
