Rest in Peace, my friend!

When Sam visited us in Switzerland, it was always a good time. He would bring "Sam Bikeni," a chocolate cookie he adored. We still call them like this. His door was always open when visiting the U.S., taking us on road trips, singing to the Löschzugchörli and David Hasselhoff songs. He had a great voice! Sam was a mentor, friend, father figure, and brutal therapist all in one. He had knack for supporting me with the "things that only happen to Lisa" A person with an enormous heart. I valued his opinions. ( Regardless if I agreed or not) Rest in peace Sam, you will always have a special place in my heart, guaranteed I will think of you often with a smile, a Lindt or two.

Growing up with our own personal Uncle Sam has left us with a multitude of grand memories. Family gatherings with Sam were so much fun. We are so thankful for the many videos Sam captured of our youth and the family, a treasure he shared with all. And the college age party memories with Sam and his friends...And the A & W drive-in times - the best carhop, ever. The Corvair convertible. Sam lives on...Thanks, Sam. Nephew, Duane Steinhauer
