Joseph Fredrick Kaether, III

WAUTOMA - Joseph Frederick “Joe” Kaether III, age 74, of Wautoma, passed away after a two-year battle with cancer on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Evansville Manor. He was born on Sept. 16, 1949, in Madison, Wis., the son of Joseph Kaether Jr. and Eleanor (Koch) Kaether.

Prior to retirement, Joe worked as a laborer at Stoughton Trailers. Joe had a great sense of humor. He loved being a dad and grandpa and spending time with family.

In his free time, he enjoyed shooting pool, riding Harleys, fixing old cars and motorcycles, and watching the Packers, the Badgers, and NASCAR. Joe also enjoyed collecting Dream Catchers and diecast cars.

Joe is survived by his sons, James (Michelle) Kaether and Jason Parks; daughter, Amy Orlando; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole, Coty, Austin, Trystyn, Tianna, Anthony and Samantha; four great-grandchildren, Faith, Luna, Reign and Madeline; sisters, Marilyn White and Lisa Pegel; brother, Rod (Carla) Nordby; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jaida Marie; and brother, Edward Kaether.

A celebration of life will be held at DOUBLEDAY'S, 4586 Baxter Road, Cottage Grove, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023.
