Obituary
MADISON - Randall Charles “Randy” Steinberg, age 63, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023. He was born on Nov. 19, 1959, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Charles and Shirley (Adler) Steinberg.
Randy graduated from LaFollette High School in 1978. He married Lisa (Meier) Steinberg on Sept. 26, 1987, together they had Nathan and Jordan. Later he married Joanne (Krantz) Steinberg on April 26, 2003, together they had Connor.
He worked as a fabricator for Regal Roadsters for over 40 years.
Ask anyone and they would say Randy was amazingly creative, artistic, fun, talented and the most outdoorsy person you would ever meet. Randy loved his family with his whole heart. His second home was on the Wisconsin River, where he spent many summer days and nights canoeing and fishing with his family. He was very hard working, staying busy building anything from Thunderbird cars to animals made out of sticks and duct tape to Lady Gaga's golden wheelchair. He was an avid pool player and won many city and state championships. Randy was always on the go, but never without his dog, Rex.
Randy is survived by his son, Nathan (fiancé, Angela) Steinberg and their daughter, Lola Steinberg; daughter, Jordan (boyfriend, Matt) Steinberg and their children, MJ Larson and Averie Larson; son, Connor Steinberg; parents, Charles and Shirley; sister, Sally (Craig) Ballweg; brothers, Scott Steinberg (girlfriend, Ellen), Marc Steinberg, Craig (Deb Stanzel) Steinberg and Cal (Leslie) Steinberg; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including his boss and friend, Chuck Siewert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne.
A visitation from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, with a service for speeches at 4:20 p.m. and visitation to continue following the speeches.
