This is Mike Raemisch, oh how I remember Dave as a talkative fellow, even when walking away you could hear Dave. OK I was helping him load a scraper on the trailer. Oh how you had to be close, to where he wanted the machine to be. So this time I was loading it ,and slid off the end of the trailer. Oh the hat went flying, and the profanity was a screaming at me. But you you have to know Dave, we wasn't mad at you per say. Just he's on a schedule to move this machine and now you have ruined it. So Dave got Jean reinemann to help push the scraper back onto the trailer. So in order to get it back on you had to use a little bit of Ingenuity and use the scrapers Motors to help you push the machine back onto the trailer. Well in doing so I guess I gave it a little too much power because not only did it go back on to the trailer but it also slid off the pony motor wrecked the whole motor. How he was really pissed I have never seen Dave so mad in my entire life cussing and swearing. Have to chuckle thinking of it. So then we had to back it up and reposition the scraper onto the trailer. We finally got it to set right, but now I had to go find a motor. So he could lift the trailer back up and put it onto his truck and leave. Had to chuckle cuz I'm still thinking about it and laughing. Thanks Dave hammersley for all the good memories. Y

I keep looking out the window and I can’t believe you’re gone.
You were the best neighbor, the most entertaining neighbor we could have.
I will miss our weekly meet ups in the front yard as we joked about who’s lines were straighter, joking about the unions and the difference between men and woman in the trades, and the support you gave me me being the underdog was so heartfelt!
I will miss you’re bantering when you pulled up on your mower while we were packing the camper to go, or anytime you saw us outside.
I thank you for the times when you came to shut the garage door after the girls loaded the school bus and forgot to shut it.
You were such a good sport even to the end as we laughed about the skid steer debacle.
Love you, rest easy Dave
