Dennis Michael Handel, Sr.

My heart goes out to the Handel family. Dennis was a good friend and knew him back in grade school and LaFollette. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed! David Chase

I’ve known Dennis since high school days in the 1960s. We both played in bands back then. And we both taught guitar at Dick Sherwood music store on State Street. Sorry to hear this sad news. Condolences to Dennis’s family. Peace.

I met Dennis because he lived right across the street from me when both of us had small children then a few years later I joined him in a band I played in two or three other different bands with him he was always willing to help when I went back a couple of years ago to raise money for the veterans in Madison he was the first to volunteer to help he called me quite often the last two years I was supposed to have dinner with him this may that goes to show you never know he will be missed

I graduated with Denny and always thought of him as a great guy. Sorry to hear of his passing but you know we all will be taking our turn. Lots of good memories of Denny and hope to see him on the other side. Hope he had a good life. Bob Squire

My family met him in the early sixties when his daddy and my daddy was in the VA Hospital in Illinois. We would go visit his family and they would come to Louisiana and visit us.
