STOUGHTON - Lanette Sue “Lanny” Rinden, age 71, of Stoughton, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital. She was born on November 15, 1953, in Stoughton, Wis., the daughter of Lux and Maria (Hamilton) Luchsinger.
Lanny grew up in the Stoughton area. She worked as a meat packer at Pick N Save. In her free time, she enjoyed nature, gardening, and birdwatching.
Lanny is survived by her sons, Richard “Rick” Rinden and Troy “TJ” (Alissa) Luchsinger; daughter, Erica (Jon) Stuart; significant other, Joe Maerz; sisters, Linda Lauretic, her twin sister Nan (Gary) Aaberg and Diane (Larry) Femrite; brother, Jim (Sharon) Luchsinger; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Amy Rinden; and brother, Duff Luchsinger.
A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Burial will be at Lutheran East Cemetery in Stoughton at a later date.
