Mount Horeb - Robert Dale “Bob” Sherven, age 68, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at UW Hospital and Clinics. He was born on March 9, 1957, in Dodgeville, Wis., the son of Enoch and Helen (Ingold) Sherven.
Bob attended Daleyville Grade School and graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1975. He married the love of his life, Jean (Norton) Sherven, on May 28, 1977, in Hollandale, Wis. They raised their four children together and farmed together for 37 years, retiring to Mount Horeb in 2014.
Bob loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed gardening in his free time. He was an avid Packers and Brewers fan! Bob and Jean spent many weekends going to Door County to visit and relax. He also liked going fishing with his kids. He especially loved spoiling his grandkids and giving them treats!
Robert is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Austin (Bryanna) Sherven and Trevor (Isabelle) Sherven, both of Madison; daughter, Mindy (Ian) Eisele, of Cross Plains; brother, Dennis (Kathy) Sherven; sister, Karen (Bill) Peyton; grandchildren, Ellie Eisele, Sophia Eisele, Seralyn Cure, Skylah Sherven and Evelyn Sherven; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Landon Dale Sherven.
A memorial service will be held at Perry Lutheran Church, 1057 WI-78 Trunk , Mount Horeb, at 11 a.m. on Monday April 21, 2025, with Pastor Kelli Fisher presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
We are very grateful that our dad is no longer in pain and is at peace.
