Obituary

MADISON - Edgar “Gali” Eduardo Aguiñaga, age 50, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at his residence. He was born on September 10, 1974, in Eagle Pass, Texas, the son of Apolonio Aguiñaga and Maria Garcia.


Edgar graduated from Eagle Pass High School in 1991. He attended UW-Madison for two years and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in business management at UT-San Antonio. He worked managing apartments in Milwaukee, Madison, San Antonio and Eagle Pass. Edgar loved to cook out and grill with friends and family. He could put a smile on anyone’s face with his jokes. He was a big Cowboys fan and was passionate about the Cubs.  


Edgar is survived by his sisters, Luz A. (Fito) Celedon, Juanita (Manuel) Avalos, Enedelia (Juan) Celedon and Florencia (Jack) Caniglia; brothers, Manuel Enrique (Manuelita) Aguiñaga and Ennio Hector Aguiñaga; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
