My name is Millard Lightburn, PhD, born in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. In the mid 1960's I was a high school student at Moravian High School in Puerto Cabezas. I had excellent teachers. Dr. Moroney was my Biology teacher. His teaching strategies to address difficul topics in a manner that everyone understood was very inspiring. He inspired me to pursue a career in Biology. Because of my solid foundational knowledge learned in his classes, I was very successful in college and graduate school. He was always respectful and kind to all his students. He was an excellent Odontologist and most of the people from Puerto Cabezas were his patients. Our condolences to his wife and the rest of his family. Rest In Peace Dr. Moroney.
