Obituary
DEFOREST - Richard L. Olsen Sr., age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ann (Sime); sons, Richard Jr. (Jackie), Thomas (Lisa) and David (Kari); daughters, Dianne Anderson, Beth (Lonny) Schumann and Tiffanie (Eric) Shallow; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; his sister, Debra (John) Horner; and sister-in-law, Kathy Olsen. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Victoria (Dan) Sumwalt; and brother, Everett (Skip).
A celebration of life will be held at CORNERSTONE COMMUNITY CENTER, 505 N. Main St., DeForest, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025, with a time of remembrance starting at 2 p.m.
