Mike was an AMAZING kid and my nephew he never let anything knock him down. When he was a kid he would play sandlot football and soccer with all the kids in the neighborhood. Some of my fondest memories was him playing soccer with me and his brother and him playing together. I remember him and I getting stranded on Clearwater Beach till 3am in the morning when my friend had my car keys. The one memory I will hold deep in my heart when he was my best man at my wedding and wore his leisure suit and kept me from passing out. I will miss you Mikey and I love you so much and I will see you again someday and we will have lots of laughs, rest in peace Uncle Butch.

I was Mike’s youth pastor in Largo FL. Mike was a special young man. He was enthusiastic about life and encouraging to anyone who knew him. Most recently I have leaned into Mike’s posts. In the midst of a traumatic challenge in his life Mike leaned on his faith in Jesus. I am grateful for Mike’s peace in the midst of the storm. If you knew me you would know that life on planet earth has tragic times but life in Jesus is eternal. That’s real life. Abundant life. I pray for peace in the midst of the storm for Mike’s bride and your son and daughter. It’s hard. Camille and I weep with you. We extend our heartfelt condolences to you. Love to you.
