Obituary
BLACK EARTH - Judith Elaine Rynes, age 79, of Black Earth, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. She was born on January 25, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of Arnold and Evelyn (Rowley) Brown.
Judith graduated from Niles High School in 1965. She worked for Plastic Ingenuity for many years before retiring in 2017. She enjoyed trips to Ho-Chunk in Wisconsin Dells with her daughter, fishing, and playing cards. She loved God and believed in Him. She also enjoyed watching game shows and crime shows. Traveling to Las Vegas. She liked debating politics, and she loved talking about the Bible with her grandson Dylan. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and the memories they made together.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Jodie (Scott Dahlk) Herrling; sons, Troy (Susan) Nied and Chris (Tina) Gosa; grandchildren, Christopher Herrling, Dylan Herrling and Cameron Nied; great-grandchildren, Jameson, Jaylen, Jennifer and Jordan Herrling; sister, Jeanine Grindle; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry Brown, Jack Brown, Jeff Brown, and Jim Brown; brother-in-law, Steve Grindle; and nephew, Chad Grindle.
A graveside service will be held at SUNSET MEMORY GARDENS, 7302 Mineral Point Road, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
