Obituary
Monona - Richard “Dick” A. Seiberlich, age 81, of Monona, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. He was born on July 10, 1945, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Raymond and Jennie (Turner) Seiberlich.
Dick attended Emerson School in Madison, Nichols School in Monona and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Monona before graduating from Monona Grove High School in 1963. He graduated from MATC in 1965 with a degree in Hotel Motel Management.
From 1965 - 1967 he served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Kentucky, El Paso, Texas, Seattle, Wash., and Denver, Colo. Dick worked as a chef at the Cuba Club in Madison, Weber's Kitchen in Madison and then as an analyst for American Family Insurance for 34 years before retiring in 2003.
Dick was a past member of the Madison Jaycees, the ESBMA, Four Lakes Yacht Club, Family Support & Resource Center, and UCP of Dane County, where he was the Telethon co-chair. He was a member of the Madison Elks Lodge No. 410 for over 30 years. Dick later kept himself occupied by working part-time for Badger Bus Company and as a caregiver / respite worker through UCP of Dane County.
Dick is survived by his sons, Tim (Paula Shaw) Seiberlich and Tedd (Heather) Seiberlich; granddaughter, Karen (Geno) Hilgers; grandson, Hayden Seiberlich; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Luka; and nephew, Whitney (Kristina) Seiberlich and their children, Anna and Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dave; and oldest son, Todd.

Visitation will be held at Gunderson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon on Thursday, September 24, 2026, followed by Military Honors at 12 noon.
