MOUNT HOREB / DODGEVILLE - Denise Elaine Roberts, age 66, of Dodgeville, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on May 24, 1960, in Madison, the daughter of Dennis and Sharon (Davis) Budd.


Denise graduated from Madison West High School in 1978. She married Jon Roberts on October 17, 1987, in Verona. Denise dedicated 40 years to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she worked in administrative and accounting roles, before retiring in 2019.


Denise enjoyed reading, crafting, gardening and fishing. Above all, she cherished her role as a mother and, more recently, a grandmother.


Denise is survived by her husband, Jon; daughters, Chelsea (Mitch) King and Tierney Roberts; father, Dennis; brother, Dan (Kate) Budd; sister, Angie (Clayton) Hageman; granddaughter, Darla King; and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon.


In keeping with Denise’s wishes, no public service will be held.
