Robert William Flynn

SUN PRAIRIE - Robert William Flynn, age 61, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. He was born on June 29, 1965, in Madison, the son of Thomas "Tom" and Elizabeth "Betty" (Bollig) Flynn.

Robert graduated from La Follette High School in 1984. He was united in marriage to Gina Ann Flynn on July 3, 2004. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2021.

Robert worked for Action Pro for over 10 years with his older brother, Tom. He was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his family and grandchildren. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved making others laugh. He never met a stranger and could easily strike up a conversation with anyone he met.

In his free time, Robert enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. He even found enjoyment in cutting wood. He had a special love for animals, especially his beloved dogs, who brought him great companionship and joy.

Robert is survived by his son, Devon (Mya Green) Flynn; his daughters, Autumn (Jacob) Pacala, Shawna Tantillo and Shannen Krueger; brothers, Tom Flynn, Brad Flynn, Mike Flynn and Pat Flynn; former spouse, Diane Flynn; grandchildren, Zach Rompre, Mason Rompre, Ryan Rompre, Braylon Flynn and Zaylah Flynn; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Kolten Flynn; brother, Doug Flynn; father and mother, Tom Sr. and Betty; and wife, Gina.

A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
