Tracey L Blake

MADISON - Tracey L. Blake, age 57, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026. She was born on May 11, 1969, in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Teresa (Figgins) Michener.

Tracey graduated from Springfield South High School, class of 1987. She enjoyed being part of the drill team, band, orchestra and choir where she made many lasting friendships. She moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University and remained in Columbus where she met her beloved, Kevin, in 1995. They began dating soon after and were engaged in 1997. She married Kevin Blake on October 27, 2001.

Tracey volunteered with the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Ohio and worked for the American Cancer Society where she was an integral part of many fundraising events over the years. Through her work with the Alliance, she was able to honor her mother’s memory. During her time at OCAO she met many life-long “Teal Sisters” and friends.   

Throughout her life, Tracey was an avid reader, most often enjoying science fiction, mystery and fantasy novels. She enjoyed Medieval stories and the mythology of Ireland and was intrigued by Irish history and culture. For Tracey and Kevin's twentieth wedding anniversary they bought a deed of entitlement to a castle in Ireland, giving them the titles Lord and Lady of Dunans Castle.

Tracey is survived by her husband, Kevin; three siblings, Chad (Vicki Reed) Michener, Beth (Craig) O’Neal and Kimberly (David Bellomy) Robbins; and life-long best friend, Suzy (Bryan) Greene; nieces and nephews, Zoe (Noah) Lewchenko, Teresa and Elijah Robbins, Halina and Taryn Michener, and Cyrus (Alexis) O'Neal; and great-nieces, Stella and Caylee O'Neal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Teresa Michener.
