My deepest condolences to the entire Farin family for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with and learning from Tom years ago, and I was amazed at his vision, dedication, and passion in everything he was involved with inside and outside of work. Most importantly, he was a great and kind human being, and I always enjoyed sitting down and chatting with him on a number of various topics. He left a great legacy behind him and will be missed by many!

Tribute to Thomas A. Farin A voice fed Tribute to Thomas Farin Tom Farin has been a friend of mine for 65 years. After my short narrative is a list of major events of our friendship. There are too many things to describe in detail. Tom was my friend in high school, my cross-country captain, his father was a national cross-country UW champion and volunteered as our cross-country assistant coach. His whole family has been an integrated friendship with me. The sister of Tom's girlfriend in high school helped us both get our papers filled out to apply for acceptance at UW and in the dorm. Without that help I doubt whether I would have entered. Tom was my roommate freshman year and got me involved in some of his Theta chi activities. We periodically stayed in touch and helped each other's careers throughout life. I gave him advice; he gave me advice. There was no ego involved just helping friendships. I was in hss first wedding party. He was the bartender at my wedding reception. I visited him at First Wisconsin Bank when I came back from New York. Often, I visited his home. As He traveled constantly to build his company Farin and Associates, I called or visited where he was. He often offered valuable advice for me as I did for him. There is no way for me to describe the connection that I had with Tom and his family. It was constant. But not consistent. There are too many stories to tell in too little time. I spent an hour and a half sharing those experiences with a friend. I can just tell you that Tom is thought to be gone but he isn't his presence permeates the lives of hundreds of people and it's improved them and they in turn have improved others. The influence it's consequential. I cannot say goodbye to Tom Farin because to me he is still in my life. Farewell for the time being brother Tom. My friend brother Paul from Saint Vincent de Paul Church is saving me a seat up there. Hopefully you have one right beside it. I'll be there soon enough. Thank you Tom, from your very, very good friend Don Geldernick List of Events 1. Meeting outside of Dean Thom’s office 2. CC & Bill Farin, assist. Coach, national CC champion 3.
