MIDDLETON / MADISON - Donald Van Aman, age 94, formerly of Middleton, died on Friday, July 17, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on September 1 ,1931 in Milwaukee, Wis.
Don graduated from Boys Tech High School and then Milwaukee Teachers Engineering School in Milwaukee. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. After leaving the Army, Don sold insurance for Lincoln National Life and was a sales manager for Brandes Corporation.
Don married Nancy, his high school sweetheart, on September 24, 1960, in Milwaukee. They have spent 65 beautiful years together and made many lasting memories.
Don loved to travel with Nancy, and they traveled to many different countries and enjoyed their travels. He also enjoyed fishing, swimming and playing cards. One of Don's proud memories was being captain of the water polo team in high school and taking home first place.
Don's faith was also very important to him. He was a faithful and longtime member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Middleton.
Don is survived by his wife, Nancy; sister-in-law, Pat; nieces, Mary Beth Furby (Vernon) and Julie McCurry (Danny); and nephew, Greg Van Aman. He was preceded in death by his brother, Irving Van Aman; and parents, Irving and Winifred Van Aman.
A celebration of life will be held at ST. LUKE’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton, at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, with Pastor Brian Ferguson presiding. Burial will follow the service at Middleton Junction Cemetery on Friday. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Luncheon will be served at the church following the burial on Friday.
