Obituary
STOUGHTON - Louise A. Dullum went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 16, 2026. The eldest daughter of Melvin and Mariam (McDaniel) Raiten, Louise was born on August 14, 1934, in Clifton, Monroe County, Wis. She grew up in a farming family, one of 12 children.
Louise graduated from Norwalk High School in 1952. She followed that with a move to Madison where she spent five years working in the ASC Office. On June 8, 1957, she married Alfred Dullum at Calvary Free Church and began their lifelong stay in Stoughton.
Louise spent more than 20 years caring for the elderly in both McCarthy and Brickson nursing homes in town. After that career, she enjoyed styling customers at MJ Fashions in Madison.
Louise loved to cook and hold gatherings. She considered many friends and neighbors over the years as family. She enjoyed decorating, tending her flowers, watching the Bucks and the Brewers, and playing bingo.
Gone before her were Louise’s parents; eight of her siblings; and other relatives. She is survived by Alfred, her husband of 69 years; and their four children, Sharyn Fleming (fiancé Mike Henny) of Waterloo, Iowa, Sheila (David) Geier of Prairie du Sac, Wis., Angela (Matt) Peterson of Rockford, Ill., and Chad Dullum of Stoughton, Wis. She is further survived by three siblings, Clarice Paulsen of Collinsville, Ill., Malend Raiten of Sparta, Wis., and Laird Raiten of Sparta, Wis.; many nieces and nephews; her wonderful grand and great-grandchildren, who she took a kick out of giving dollars and quarters to, Brianna and Eric Spriet (Jack, Henry) of Bettendorf, Iowa, Matthew and Kelsey Fleming (Hudson, Hunter) of Urbandale, Iowa, Kelsey and Aaron Brummel (Chloe, November blessing) of Ankeny, Iowa, Joshua and Bailey Dullum (Rhiannon) of Port Wentworth, Ga., and Colton Peterson of Rockford, Ill.
Per Louise’s wishes, no funeral will be held. Gunderson Funeral and Cremation Care will assist the family with her private burial at Roselawn Memorial Park, Madison.
Louise’s family wishes to express sincere appreciation for the care that was given to her during this last journey with us, from Dr. Lively, Stoughton Hospital ER and Third Floor, SSM Hospital, Skaalen Home Garden Glen and finally, to Gunderson.
Sister, wife, mother and grandmother, you always gave us a lot of memories and fun times. We will miss you dearly.
