OREGON - Patricia Louise Bakken, age 90, passed away on June 26, 2026, at BeeHive in Oregon, Wis. She was born on April 27, 1936, in Madison, the daughter of Hazel and Harry Imhoff.
Patricia graduated from Edgewood High School in 1954. She was united in marriage to Marv Bakken on October 20, 1956, at St. Bernard’s Church in Madison, Wis. She worked as a secretarial and medical transcriptionist from 1957-1992.
Pat enjoyed decorating and making living spaces beautiful. She was quite artistic and would draw and paint as a hobby. Pat and Marv enjoyed dancing. They moved so well together, it was fun for all to watch. They had an active card club group that met monthly since 1958 sharing laughs and stories more than paying attention to the game. Pat played the organ by ear and could play almost any song the crowd requested. This talent was especially fun for sing-alongs at family gatherings. Pat and Marv spent 27 years as snowbirds in Mesa, Ariz., relishing time with family and friends. Pat and Marv also enjoyed traveling especially when a cruise would take them to exotic places to explore.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Marv Bakken; brother, Tom (“Boot”) Imhoff; children, Dean (Angie) Bakken, Gary (Kathy) Bakken, Kim (Gary) Schneider, Kathy (Brian) Carlson and Kurt Bakken; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Harry Imhoff; sisters, Marilyn Gonzagowski and Mary Koss; grandson, Aaron Carlson; and great-grandson, Johnathan Smyth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026. A luncheon to follow. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday.
The family would like to extend our complete gratitude to the Agrace HospiceCare team and the staff at BeeHive of Oregon. Together these skilled and caring individuals provided the best of care to Pat. We appreciate ALL of you so very much.
