MADISON - Matthew Alan "Veez" Remsik, age 46, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. He was born on October 12, 1979, in Madison, the son of James and Christi (Conway) Remsik.
Veez graduated from La Follette High School in 1997. He went on to become a talented software engineer which carried him around the country with stops in Jacksonville, Chicago, and Cleveland before returning to Madison. He loved movies, music, and a good, challenging puzzle. He was always ready with a recommendation for what to watch or listen to next.
Veez is survived by his mother, Christi; brothers and sisters, Cathi (Scott) Hart, John (Tina) Remsik, James (Jenifer) Remsik Jr. and Samantha (Michael Dong) Remsik; sisters-in-law, Tiffany (Mark) Remsik and Nicole (Richard) Remsik; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Remsik Sr.; brothers, Richard Remsik and Mark Remsik; and his cat, Edgar (Buddy).
The family has chosen to hold a private service at a later date.
