A friend of Sarah's from across the world let my husband know on FaceBook of Sarah's passing. That is a testament to how much Sarah meant to people. Across the world and years, we remember her!
Sarah was a special presense in our children's life back in the early 2000's when she was a teacher at Playful Kids' Learning Center (PKLC). She spent umpteen hours caring for both our childen, now young adults themselves, at the Center as well as at our home.
She was kind, smart, caring and funny. She was a member of our family for those years and we as well as both our kids loved her.
While we had were not in touch with Sarah recently, I thought of her often and knew she would be a caring presence in others' lives. She couldn't help but be.
My heart especially goes out to Sarah's mother Jean. I know the toll it takes to watch a child battle an illness and ultimately succumb. But from this obituary, I realize mother and daughter had a special bond and I believe that bond continues after life so I hope their is some solace in that.
Our condolensces to the entire family!
