Obituary

STOUGHTON - Nicholas J. Aspero, age 82, of Stoughton, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Alden Meadow Park. He was born on September 10, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Dominic and Helen (Horn) Aspero.

Nick's family later moved to New Jersey, where he graduated from high school. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era. Among his many Navy memories, he was especially proud to have earned the distinction of becoming a "Shellback."

Following his military service, Nick moved to Madison and began a career with the Zimbrick automotive family. He dedicated 31 years of service to the Zimbrick Honda dealership, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike.

On November 26, 1966, he married the love of his life, Polly Koerwitz, and together they shared a lifetime of love and companionship.

Nick enjoyed staying active and social. He spent many happy hours at the Senior Center playing ping pong and pool and was an avid bowler who participated in numerous bowling leagues over the years. He treasured the friendships he made through these activities and the sense of community they brought to his life.

Nicholas is survived by his wife, Polly; children, Jennifer (Antonio) Luna and Shawn (Rachael) Aspero; grandchildren, Diego Luna, Yovani Luna, Bianca (Jake Eden) Aspero and Giavanna Aspero; great-grandchildren, Luca and Elliot Eden; and brother, Dominic (Sandy) Aspero. Nick and I worked together for much of his automotive career. Always a principled professional. I can’t help but smile when I think of Nick and his 1965 Buick Riviera. A restoration of love. My condolences! Bill Mills

Dear Paul and family I was sorry to hear of Nick’s passing many fond memories of our days together at Zimbrick. I’ll never forget when we gathered for dinner. I think it was probably a 1980 or 1981 after you and Nick could take an European delivery of beautiful red, SL and he shared with us in meticulous detail the beautiful road trip that you enjoyed in Europe Nick had really high standards and maintain them throughout his career. He was doing CRM manually before customer relationship. Technology was even thought of he was a consummate professional. Happy to see that he was able to enjoy a fulfilling retirement Sally and I share our condolences with you and your entire family. One of those people that you need along the way that you’ll never forget. Dave and Sally Nathanson

Dear Polly. Correcting my previous message not sure how Paul got in there, but I’m sure Nick would feel the same way about AutoCorrect that I do. Anyhow, wanted to make that direction is that what would have done? Best and be well Dave

.Dear Polly. I am saddened to hear of Nick's passing. You both were so kind and helpful when we were neighbors on Wilnor and I always enjoyed visiting with Nick. I loved reading the names of all of your grandchildren in the Hub yesterday - you must be very proud. I am sure Nicholas was. Best, Gary
