Faye, When I first saw the name Matzat in the obituaries, I immediately thought this must be a relative of yours. I don’t remember if I ever met Bob, but I extend my deepest sympathy to you, your family, and your friends. If you or your family want to hear some helpful ways that people have handled significant loss, Anderson Cooper has a very fine podcast called “Is That All There Is?” He started this podcast after the death of his mother (Gloria Vanderbilt). He interviews all kinds of people (many famous) about how they’ve found ways to positively deal with loss. Anderson has been working through several episodes of loss (his father when Anderson was very young and his brother’s suicide many years ago. The interviews are excellent and helpful. When we both worked in the Monona Grove School District, I so enjoyed your friendship and our dear friend and business teacher Cathy Zweibel….a very positive time in my life. You always stayed so positive even in challenging times. I always respected that in you. When I read Bob’s obituary, it included references to all your travels. Wow. Impressive. I do remember you mentioning all the fine traveling you and Bob had been able to do. Those and many other fine memories will live on. Wishing you and your family the very best with fond memories to continue to cherish. Bill Breisch Bill Breisch

Our sincere condolences to Faye and Bob's family. We rejoice in the new life that Bob is now enjoying through faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ. We enjoyed the trips you made to North Judson, IN, to join the Matzat reunions in that part of the country. It was a pleasure and privilege to get to know you during those gathering times. We hope this final gathering for Bob will be the source of good memories as you celebrate his life. Eugene Matzat, formerly of North Judson, IN
