Obituary

MADISON - Scott R. Listol, age 64, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones in the comfort of his home.

Scott was born on December 17, 1961, in Stoughton, Wis., to Robert Listol and Patricia (Zintz) Listol, and grew up in Oregon, Wis. He graduated from Oregon High School, building a foundation of lifelong connections right here in the community.

Through his teenage years and into early adulthood, Scott explored many different career paths, working hard across various industries. However, he truly found his professional calling when he discovered his passion for the low-voltage industry.

After spending decades gaining valuable experience, Scott decided to take a bold step forward. In 2012, he partnered with longtime friend and colleague Troy Semenic to establish Right Angle Communications. Over the years, through their shared vision and relentless hard work, they built the business into a highly successful, well-established, and notable company in the Madison area. Specializing in low voltage systems, Right Angle Communications stands as a proud testament to Scott's dedication, leadership, talent, and professional legacy.

Scott had an undeniable passion for life and anything that went fast. He was happiest when he was outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling or riding his UTV alongside his close friends and family. For many years, he also loved the freedom of riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. As an avid sports fan, he loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, and he never missed the excitement of a NASCAR race.

Scott was also a true enthusiast at the grill. He loved nothing more than barbecuing, smoking meats, and mastering new recipes on the flat-top. Alongside Stacey, he loved whipping up new culinary concoctions, and most of the time, there was never the same recipe twice, with their Hibachi dinners being an absolute family favorite.

Scott's life was defined by the deep connections he shared with others. He was blessed with a massive circle of friends and a large, close-knit extended family. He was always the happiest when the house was full or, sharing laughs around the campfire, telling stories and feeding the people he loved most.

Above all, Scott loved spending time with his children, and he adored his extended families and grandbabies.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stacey; cherished puppy, Opal; son, Mitch (Kayla), and grandfurbabies, Annie, Gunner, Hank and Cheeks; son, Trevor (Kim), and grandchild, Aidan and new grandbaby Listol expected to arrive in October of 2026; and stepson, Tyler (Brittney) Rehberg, and grandchildren, Reina and Damian. He is further survived by his father and stepmother, Bob and Sue Listol; his sisters, Sue (Tim) Crye and Sandy Feuling; his stepbrothers, Jamie (Kathy) Ennis and Josh (Yvonne) Ennis; his mother-in-law, Pamela Rockwell; his nieces and nephews, Derrick Dyer, Riley (Kasey) Cole, Bri (Steven) Noyce and Melissa Crye; and his great-niece and great-nephews, Lennyx, Harper and Harry. Scott also leaves behind a wonderfully large extended family of cousins, and countless dear friends who became like family over the years.

A very special mention is held in Scott's heart for Veda Lou, who has been a beloved part of his life since the day she was born and was loved just like a granddaughter.

Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Pat Aeschlimann and stepdad, Roger Buckley; his father-in-law, Ernest "Rocky" Rockwell; and his beloved furbabies, Jax and Opie.

An honorable mention and thank you is extended to Claire, his nurse, and Ellie, his social worker, with Agrace Hospice for their exceptional care, guidance and support.

My deepest sympathies To the family of Scott Listol. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. We had some great times back in the day. Scott was a genuine and sincere friend. He would say what was on his mind and would just be good to everyone. I hadn’t seen him in a while but occasionally our paths would cross and we would take time to catch up on things. May it be of some comfort to all of you to know he was liked by so many . Jim Snow
