Anita Sue Pawlowski

Anita Sue Pawlowski

October 26, 1956 - June 05, 2026

Obituary

It is with a heavy heart and many tears that the family of Anita Sue Pawlowski announces her passing after her long struggle with kidney disease and congestive heart failure, June 5, 2026. Anita will be lovingly remembered by her wife, Shawn Cady. She leaves behind her brother, Anthony Pawlowski, his wife, Antoinette Preudhomme and their daughters, Ava and Alana Pawlowski.

Anita was born in Anaheim, California to Stanley and Theresa Pawlowski. She lived most of her life in Anaheim until Anita and Shawn decided to retire to Wisconsin. She loved Wisconsin and enjoyed taking car rides to view the scenery and change of seasons.

Anita collected coins and loved searching for that rare treasure and mint date. She was a collector. She collected beanie babies, hot wheels, Mexican bead work, beads, and religious icons. She was a devout Christian and loved Jesus Christ and tried her best to follow in his footsteps. Anita was the most kindhearted and generous person you could ever meet. If you needed $20, she would give you $50 and buy you lunch. If you were in need of anything, she was the first to offer help.

Anita will be remembered for her love of dining with friends, playing dominoes with the secret dinner society and meeting up with friends just to talk and laugh. If there is gambling in heaven, she is playing Pitch with her family.

There will be a celebration of life at Covenant Luthern Church, 1525 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The funeral and burial will take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Tustin, California and September 12, 2026.

In memory of our dear friend Anita, We first met Anita through our shared adventures in World of Warcraft. We bonded over a mutual passion for collecting pets in the game, and together we were part of a guild dedicated to gathering every pet we could find. What began as a friendship in a virtual world quickly became something much more meaningful. We were fortunate enough to take that friendship beyond the game and meet Anita and Shawn in person during a BlizzardCon adventure, creating memories that we will cherish forever. One of the greatest honors was being invited to celebrate the beautiful wedding of Anita and Shawn a day filled with love, joy, and happiness that reflected the wonderful person Anita was. Anita brought kindness, laughter, and friendship into the lives of everyone who knew her. While her passing leaves a space that can never truly be filled, her spirit will continue to live on in the countless memories we shared, the adventures we experienced together, and the friendships she helped create. We will miss Anita deeply, but we will forever smile when we think of our time together. Whether collecting pets, sharing laughs, or celebrating life’s special moments. Her memory will remain a treasured part of our lives. With love and remembrance, Christopher and Nancy Hudson

We met Anita and Shawn only once while waiting for an oil change in the dealership waiting area. We conversed for close to an hour and her kind, friendly demeanor left an impression. My deepest sympathies to Shawn and the rest of Anita's family.
