CROSS PLAINS - Lauren Michelle Droste, age 33, of Cross Plains, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Cross Plains. She was born on November 29, 1992, in Redwood City, Calif., the daughter of Scott and Alicia (Positeri) Droste.
Lauren graduated from Crystal Lake South High School in 2011 before earning her bachelor’s degree from UW-Madison in 2015 and her master’s degree from UW-Stevens Point. On June 29, 2024, she married Mike Boland in La Crosse.
Lauren dedicated 10 years to teaching at Middleton High School, where she served as both a special education teacher and family consumer science teacher. She was passionate about supporting her students and helping them succeed.
In her free time, Lauren enjoyed cooking and baking, tending to her garden, hiking, and visiting the beach. She had a special love for dogs, especially Olive and Theo, who brought her endless joy and companionship.
Lauren is survived by her husband, Mike; brother, Nick (Sarah) Droste; parents-in-law, Bob and Mary Kay Boland; brother-in-law, Matt (Emily) Boland; sister-in-law, Kate (Mat) Halverson; and loyal canines, Olive and Theo.
