Cynthia E Branum-Genco

MADISON - Cynthia Ellen Branum-Genco, age 85, passed away peacefully at her Lake Kegonsa home Wednesday morning, May 27, 2026. She was a Chicago native who graduated from Ela-Vernon High School in 1959. She went on to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she majored in accounting with a minor in physical education.

Cynthia was a passionate and loving wife and partner to Salvatore Andrew for 64 years. She was a strong mother of three and grandmother of 10 and a fiercely competitive construction industry trail blazer who lived her life her way. She relentlessly moved forward and never, ever backed down from a fight. Her children, Andrew John, Cindi Genco Edwards, and Paul Joseph, are glad to have her spirit in their blood.  

Cynthia was proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jessica, Caleb, Sophia, Salvatore, Anthony, Shelby, Andrew, Calvin, Knox, Storm, Forrest and John Andrew.

To the souls she will be joining in heaven, especially those who think they are in charge, there is a new sheriff in town.  

A celebration of life will be held at Sal and Cynthia’s home, 2319 William Point Drive, Stoughton, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
