Obituary

OREGON - Sharon Ann (Bluhm) Manion, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. She was born on September 16, 1939, in Morgan, Minn., the daughter of Rudolph G. Bluhm and Agnes C. (Schouveller) Bluhm.

Sharon graduated from Morgan High School in 1957 and earned her associate’s degree in nursing from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Practical Nursing in Mankato. She was united in marriage to Patrick Manion in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1964.

Sharon enjoyed helping others, which reflected throughout her life and career. As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Northern Pacific Railway Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, she devoted herself to caring for others with compassion and kindness. Sharon was an avid sports fan, proudly cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. She enjoyed fishing and camping, and found joy in the kitchen, where she loved cooking and baking for family and friends. She was an avid reader and talented seamstress. She enjoyed a good Friday night fish fry and a well-made Manhattan. Above all else, Sharon was her daughters’ biggest fan. She could always be found on the sidelines, enthusiastically cheering them on at their sporting events. That same unwavering love and support carried on to her grandchildren, whom she proudly and passionately cheered on at their many sporting events

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Lori (Mitch Langseth) Manion, Patrice (Steve) McGuire, and Susan (Troy) Fischer; grandchildren, Alex Langseth, Dannielle Langseth, Patrick McGuire, Macy McGuire, Kylie Fischer, and Chase Fischer; brother, Mike (Julie) Bluhm; and brother-in-law, Jim (Kathryn) Manion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Manion; parents, Rudolph and Agnes Bluhm; sister, Joan (Len) Paquette; in-laws, Charles and Lucy Manion; and sister-in-law, Mary (David) Ender.
