Obituary
Our soldier is going home. Terrell (Terry) L. Morris passed away on May 15, 2026. He was born on January 5, 1944, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Charles and Adeline Morris. Terry was born and grew up in Sioux Falls, S.D., and Esterville, Iowa. He married his beloved wife, Lois Jean (Fessel) Morris, on June 1, 1974, and sealed together a big, blended family for over 52 years.
Terry joined the U.S. Air Force in 1963 and served six years at Truax Field in Madison, Wis., and was boots on the ground in Vietnam. He was a lifelong supporter and advocate of Vietnam Veterans.
Terry had many lifelong friends through his career with the State of Wisconsin-Printing Services, and in retirement, he worked security for the Dane County Airport, Covance and WPS. He had a skill for bringing together Vietnam veterans from all over the United States through the Security Police Association, military K-9 groups and various other local and national Vietnam veterans’ groups. While living in Monona, Pardeeville and Sun Prairie, Wis., Terry grew his wide circle of friends through laughter and a willingness to lend a hand. He was also a founding member of the BWC.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Jean (Fessel) Morris; and by five children, Deanna (Jerry) Ewert, Dawn (Mitch) Marks, Brian (Michele) Storms, Kathy (Oleg) Ivchenko and Angela (Ray) Parpart; 12 grandchildren, Brandon (Kaycee) Marks, Derek (Kristine) Marks, Jenna (Billy) DeVault, Courtney (Deke) Bradley, Samantha (Sean) Ewert, Ashley (Jason) Storms, Grace (Brady) Storms, Eric (Amanda) Storms, Max Ivchenko, Sophia Ivchenko, Desmond Parpart and Levi Parpart; and eight great-grandchildren.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Adeline (Moseson) Morris; and his older brother, James (Jim) Morris.
