My deepest sympathy goes out to Jan's family . Jan was the best of the best. When she was a steno for MPD, I dictated a countless number of reports that Jan typed. Not only was she a great steno, an even greater friend. Her late husband Dennis was also a dear friend. I can just see them now, together enjoying a Brandy Manhattan!! May they both rest in peace in the company of Our Lord! Vern Bronson. Retired MPD

Jan had a way with people becoming a beloved member of MPD and a way with words making sure I's were dotted, T's were crossed and elements of crime plus non-consent were satisfied. She and Downtown Denny Brown made a good team.

I knew Jan from when she and Brown where married and my husband and her's would go hunting together. I remember helping to skin a deer and I'm pretty sure it was in her basement. I don't think she was too happy. My sincerest sympathy to her family. I know we'll all miss her very muc
