Kathleen M Kruk

MADISON - Kathleen Marie Kruk, age 76, of Adams, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Meriter Hospital. She was born on November 29, 1949, in Dodgeville, WIS., the daughter of William and Gladys (McIntosh) Thomas.

Kathleen graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1967. She later married her “love” Fred Kruk in Branson, MO. and lived in Crest Hill, IL. She enjoyed many years as part of the Wilmington Recreational Club where she enjoyed many friends and activities like the annual lobster races. In addition to raising her family, Kathleen enjoyed a career as the Administrative Director for Dow Financial Inc. She also enjoyed traveling, having gone to the USSR, Greece and many other beautiful places.

Kathleen touched so many lives, and no one ever had a bad word to say about her. She was a hugger, "hug your loved ones and tell them you love them." She loved hosting get-togethers and was the life of the party. A positive person, she encouraged everyone with words of wisdom, "we have tons of living left to do together." Kathleen especially enjoyed time with her GURLZ.

Kathleen is survived by her sons, Steven Douglas (Heidi) Sheldon and James William Sheldon; brothers, James (Mary Ellen) Thomas and Robert Thomas; grandchildren, Amanda, Caitlin, Corey, Joshua and Steven; great-grandchild, Harlee; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; daughter, Julie M. Sheldon; sister and brother-in-law, Evie (Gary) (Markin) Woolever; grandchild, Matthew Adams; and niece, Michelle Thomas.

A celebration of life will be held at TULLY’S II, 6401 Monona Drive, Monona, from 12 noon until 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
