MADISON - Kaylee Ryan, age 17, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 20, 2026. She was born on September 1, 2008, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Amber Klinger and Anthony Ryan. Kaylee attended East High School and was a gifted student. She enrolled in AP classes, was an Avid student, and participated in various other community programs and organizations. She worked as an auto mechanic and planned to attend Madison College in the fall.
Kaylee will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile, her kindness and compassion towards others, her love for animals, and for being an amazing daughter, granddaughter, older sister and friend. She was intelligent, hardworking, loyal, honest and brave. She had many talents. Kaylee loved ballet, cars, art, taking walks with her friends, spending time with family, thrifting and fashion. She loved racing at Madison International Speedway and working on cars with her uncle Dylan and grandpa Tubbs. She believed in treating everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect. Kaylee was very proud of her Native American heritage.
Kaylee is survived by her mother, Amber (Micah Maples) Klinger; father, Anthony Ryan; brother, Kayden Ryan; fur baby, Daisy Mae; grandparents, Todd and Jane Klinger, Dean Ryan, and Shelia Aguilar; great-grandparents, Allen and Linda Klinger; uncles and aunts, Dylan (Shelby Robbins) Klinger, April (Israel) Cid, Ashley (Francisco) Rodriguez, Andres (Jazmine) Mendez, and Anastacio Aguilar; and best friend, Valerie Lee. She is also survived by many other cousins, relatives and very close friends. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Jessica Klinger; great-uncle, Kenny Duell; great-grandparents, Sally and Basil Sadler; and fur babies, Crashy and Chelsea.
A funeral service will be held at BURKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5720 Portage Road, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026, with Pastor Bryan Lagerstam presiding, followed by burial in the Burke Lutheran Church Cemetery. A luncheon back at the church will follow the burial. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, and again at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
