MADISON - Selena M. Duffy, age 93, of Monona, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at her home. She was born on November 27, 1932, in Paradise, Ky., the daughter of David and Anna (Carr) Hamm.
Selena graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit, Mich., with the class of 1950. On October 8, 1952, she married William Duffy in Detroit. They made their home in Michigan and raised their family there. William and Selena moved to Florida where she worked at K-Mart in Venice, Fla. She resided in Florida until she moved to Madison to live near her daughter.
Selena was a wonderful, caring, feisty, funny and loving mother who enjoyed life to the fullest. She liked to relax by knitting and reading but always looked forward to entertaining friends and relatives. She also belonged to a bowling league and was a member of the Red Hats Society in Florida.
Selena is survived by her sons, Terrance (Polly) Duffy and Timothy (Mary) Duffy; daughter, Tammy Evans; grandchildren, Katy, Kelly and Patrick, Erin and John, and Sara; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; sisters, Josie and Juanita; and brothers, David and John.
