Obituary

GREENDALE / FITCHBURG - Sally Duggan, age 87, passed away on April 10, 2026, in Madison, Wis. Born on February 28, 1939, to Grace and Archie Hoeverman, Sally grew up on a farm outside of Prairie du Sac. She graduated from UW-Platteville and worked as a teacher in Wauwatosa.


In 1966, Sally married Tom Duggan. They had three children, Anne, Tim and Ted. Sally managed the household while the children were young and later returned to the workforce as a bookkeeper at Tom's law firm.


After Tom's death in 2007, Sally spent summers at her cabin in Lac du Flambeau and remained active with her Bridge and Mahjong groups. She moved to the Madison area in 2023, where she was able to spend time with her grandchildren. Sally was known for her sense of humor and infectious laugh.


Sally is survived by her three children, Anne (Victor Figueroa), Tim (Kate Bast) and Ted; sister, Sue Moran; grandchildren, Shane and Levi Duggan; and her cat, Bubbles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents, Grace and Archie Hoeverman; and her cat, Archie.


A celebration of life will be held on a later date.
