Adele Mundt

PRAIRIE DU SAC - Adele Viola (Hering) Mundt, age 76, of Prairie du Sac, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. She was born on March 14, 1950, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of the late Alex and Viola (Festge) Hering. She married Darwin Mundt on August 26, 2000.

Adele worked for American Girl Company for many years in DeForest. She was a life-long member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Cross Plains. She enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping in store and online. Adele was a very caring person and always willing to help when needed.

Adele is survived by her sister/niece, Debbie (John) Schneider; sisters-in-law, Dena (Rodney) Harrop, Dawn (Rick) Fuller and Tammy Benke; brothers-in-law, Michael Mundt and Eugene Schumann; and many nieces and nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Mundt; son, Cory James King; parents; three brothers; four sisters; one nephew; and a sister-in-law.

A memorial service will be held at ST. MARTIN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2427 Church St., Cross Plains, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with Pastor Maggie Andersen Peterson presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
