Obituary
SCHOFIELD - Christopher Mortimer, age 60, of Schofield, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at UW Hospital and Clinics. He was born on June 25, 1965, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Walter and Mary (Polzen) Krahn.
Christopher married Jessica Winter on July 4, 2014, in a backyard ceremony at their home. He worked as a commercial manager for Advance Auto. Christopher was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fur babies. He was a proud, die-hard American who loved his country. He enjoyed American muscle cars and loved taking road trips with his wife and dog.
Christopher is survived by his wife, Jessica; son, Dawson (Laney) Firnstahl; brother, Skip (Judy) Mortimer; sister, Susan (Darryl) Clark; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Chris’ life will be held at Cherokee Park in Colby, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026. More details will follow.
