Dean and I had been friends since our days at West High School. We played fast-pitch softball for many years for the Badger Tavern. We were both groomsmen for the wedding of Bob and Carol Nielsen in July 1974. Dean and I were big Brewers fans and he and I enjoyed very much talking about our favorite team. One special memory of Dean that I have is going together to watch Hank Aaron's last baseball game in October 1976. The years have gone by much too fast. The last time I saw Dean was at the Sundown Saloon in 2017 and it was fun catching up with him. My sympathies to Patty and family at this sad time. Godspeed Dean. Jim Rogeberg
