Obituary

MOUNT HOREB - Julie Ella Hedstrom of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, died on April 3, 2026. She was born on June 3, 1968, in Melrose Park, Illinois, to the late Jeffrey Land Hedstrom (1991) and Joan Delia Hedstrom. She was preceded in death by her Godfather Uncle, Paul Evanoff (1994); cousin, Karen; daughter, Tuula Koski (2000); aunt, Karen; cousins, Debbie and Mark Schmidt of Florida.

In 1986, Julie graduated from Coronado High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. She worked as a software program writer.

Julie was accomplished in world and American history, mathematics, objectivism philosophy, diplomacy, and holistic human and animal medicine. She excelled in every sport she pursued-volleyball, softball, golf, and even some football. A lifelong love of rock ’n’ roll was always part of who she was, and it was on her softball team that she met the love of her life and future husband, Harold and they were married on December 8, 2012.

Julie is survived by her mother, Joan Hedstrom; her two devoted sisters, Jennifer (Bryon) Armour, terrific nephews, Bradley (Angie) and Jeffery “Hooper” (Julianna) and their children, Luke and Lynden Armour; and sister, Jackie “Nerk” Helman, loving nephew, Kenny Helman and doting niece, Jessica Helman; cousins, Paul, Gary, Steve and Evelyn Evanoff and children, Andrea, Zora, Hannah, Danny and Haaken; aunt, Judy Lenberg, Leif, Eric, Elke, Gunnar, Kylie, and Logan Lenberg; aunt, MaryBeth and uncle, Mike Cherry and cousins, Ryan and Erika Cherry.

Julie's one-of-a-kind husband and soulmate of 30 years, died on April 16, 2026. They are both at peace after their struggles with cancer. Their two doggies, Elsie and old Chipper, were constant companions on Harold's 15-mile walks and Julie's five-mile walks. They covered almost every inch of Mount Horeb in the 8+ years they've lived here. Happy dogs sprinkled with joy every day.

Special notice of dear lifelong friends, Andre and Keri Robotewsky, the caring and unrestricted friendship of neighbors, Ron and MaryJo Brickman, and the fabulous Pete Waltz.
