I was fortunate enough to be one of Roger very good friends. Well at least I think I was .😁 No i know i was !! We went to school together. We went to each other birthday parties. My mom really loved him . She said he was a big teddy bear. Well she was correct. We hooked back up after he got out of the marines and oh boy we had fun !! Then I got a crazy idea to move to Idaho. We'll Missouri first then Idaho. We always stayed in contact. Alot of us Mt. Horeb boys and girls did. Good people back there . Roger actually drove out to visit us in Idaho last summer for a week. Boy what a great time we had !!! I'll always love you Roger, and will never forget you my good friend !!! You are definitely one of the best !! Rest in peace good buddy .. Love ,you your friends Gene and Kay Wyss .

I worked with Rex for a handful of years at the PO. I regularly subbed for him while he was out. He couldn't help but come across as physically intimidating, but I got to know him quite well, and learned that he was a giant Teddy Bear. Even saw a concert with him in Milwaukee and we became good friends. I'll miss you Rex. --Loomy

I met Roger (Rex...or Moose as we fondly called him) while I was cooking at Paul's Speedway and he was our mailman. He would stop in for breakfast and we became instant friends. After many campfires and adventures (including the picture attached at a Badgers football game), we always stayed in touch. He was a big guy, but one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I'll miss our lunch dates, the phone calls to catch up to always have a good talk, and his warm laugh. We always said 'Love you bro' when our conversations ended. I'm sad that he's no longer here to talk to, but glad he's no longer suffering and is in a better place. Love you Moo ~Jimbo
