Jean Ann Keller
June 26, 1941 - March 26, 2026
Obituary
Jean Ann Keller, 84, of Mount Horeb, Wis., passed away peacefully at home, as she wished, on March 26, 2026.
Born on June 26, 1941, in Middleton Township, Wis., Jean was the daughter of John and Clara (Haack) Krantz of Pine Bluff. She lived a life centered on love, family, and deep connection to her community.
Jean was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Nickalous Martin Keller, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories until his passing. Together, they raised two daughters, Kari (Thomas) and Julie, who were her greatest pride and joy.
Jean was a devoted grandmother to Justina, Alex, Jenna, and Derek, and held especially close in her heart the memory of her grandsons, Joshua and Sidney, who preceded her in death. Her grandchildren brought her endless happiness, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Known for her kind and caring nature, Jean was always there for her family and friends. She found her greatest joy in time spent with loved ones and treasured traveling with friends. When she wasn’t exploring new places across the country, she was just as content traveling through the pages of a good book, finding peace and adventure in reading.
Jean was a true pillar of the Mount Horeb community. For more than 40 years, she worked at the Mount Horeb Primary Center, where she became lovingly known as “Mrs. Keller” to generations of children. With her gentle kindness and her well-timed bandages, she comforted countless kindergarteners on their first days of school, soothing homesickness, bumps, and worries with care and compassion.
Even after retirement, Jean continued to give back, volunteering at the Senior Center and remaining a steady, caring presence in the lives of many. She was a friend to all, young and old, and touched countless lives with her warmth.
Jean will be remembered for her compassion, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family and community. Her legacy lives in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved, and her memory will continue to guide and comfort those whose lives she touched.
