Obituary
JANESVILLE - Harley Leonard Scoville, age 46, of Janesville, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. He was born on May 1, 1979, in Madison, the son of John and Madeline (Vitale) Eggert.
Harley attended Jefferson High School and Northcentral Technical College (Wausau) HVAC program. He worked as a refrigeration steam fitter and travelled all over the state for continuing education.
Harley lived with a generous heart, a steady presence, and a deep love for family that shaped everything he did. Putting others first came naturally to him, and his kindness was evident in every part of his life.
He was a devoted and deeply involved father, always present for his sons and endlessly supportive in all their endeavors. As a son, Harley was caring and dependable-someone who would always answer a call, find a solution, and offer help without hesitation.
His grandchildren, Weston and Eloise, were truly the center of his world. He devoted his time, his home, and his heart to them, finding his greatest joy in being part of their lives.
A lifelong Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, Harley loved playing baseball throughout his life. He cherished his time up north at the family cottage in Phelps, Wisconsin, where fishing and the quiet of the Northwoods brought him peace and joy. He took great pride in caring for his home and lawn, always keeping everything meticulous.
Some of his happiest memories were made at Six Flags Great America, and he will be fondly remembered as a wonderful cook who treasured family Sunday dinners.
Harley is survived by his sons, Harley (Alexandria) Scoville, Noah Scoville and Caleb (Cloe Schuh) Scoville; parents, John and Madeline; grandchildren, Weston and Eloise Scoville; loyal companion, Wrigley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Peter and Delores Vitale and John and Peg Eggert.
