Ephraim Alan Smith Mrozenski
March 05, 2026 - March 05, 2026
Obituary
Middleton - Ephraim Alan Smith Mrozenski was born into eternal life on Thursday, March 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was baptized shortly after birth by his daddy, Logan Mrozenski. Though his time with us was heartbreakingly brief, Ephraim's arrival brought us an immense amount of peace knowing he is in the arms of the Lord as well as his loving grandpa Scott.
Ephraim received his special and deeply meaningful name after the beautiful Village of Ephraim, Wisconsin where his parents fell in love and got engaged. His two middle names are in loving memory of his grandpa, Scott Alan Bass and family friend, Derek Travis Smith who also departed this world much too soon.
He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Logan and Emily Mrozenski; his maternal grandparents, Cheryl (Joseph) Scheuerell; his paternal grandparents, Thomas (Cynthia) Mrozenski; his maternal great grandmother, Lorraine Cline and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Ephraim was preceded in death by his grandfather, Scott Alan Bass and his many other great grandparents.
A Memorial Service to honor Ephraim's life will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N Main St, Oregon, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00 am. Friends and family are invited to gather in prayer and quiet remembrance as we entrust Ephraim to God's tender care.
We will forever mourn the chance to know and love him in this earthly world, yet we take comfort in the promise of snuggling him again and the knowledge that Ephraim rests peacefully in the arms of our Lord. We will never forget his incredibly strong heartbeat at every appointment, his adorable button nose and all of the precious moments we shared with him thanks to UnityPoint Health Meriter. May his brief presence be a reminder of the preciousness and fragility of this life.
In lieu of flowers, please see Ephraim’s memorial registry and parental leave fund linked below to help Logan and Emily honor him and ease the burden of this extremely difficult and heartbreaking time.
