Obituary

COLUMBUS - Nora Margaret Anfinson passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Nora was the infant daughter of Nathan and Mara Anfinson.

These words are never easy to find, let alone write. Our hearts will forever hold a place for our precious daughter, Nora Margaret Anfinson, who was born and passed on Friday February 27, 2026. What began as a beautiful, warm early spring day was meant to be a joyful one as we looked forward to welcoming our daughter into the world. Though the day did not go as we had planned, the love we feel for Nora is indescribable and everlasting.

From the moment we learned we were expecting, Nora filled our hearts with a love deeper than words can express. She was loved long before she arrived and will continue to be loved for the rest of our lives. She will always be our daughter, a beautiful and cherished part of our family whose presence, though brief, has forever changed us.

We will always remember her, speak her name, and carry her in our hearts every day. Nora Margaret will forever be our little girl, forever loved, forever missed, and forever a part of our family’s story. Mommy and Daddy love you and will hold you in our hearts until the day we can give you a big, warm hug. We love you baby girl, fly high and watch over us!

Nora is survived by her parents, Nathan and Mara Anfinson; siblings, Wesley, Wyatt and Avery Anfinson; grandparents, Thomas and Deborah Anfinson of Horicon, WI and grandmother, Anita Zahorsky of Columbus, WI; and aunts and uncles, Tom and Robin Anfinson of Oshkosh, WI and Mitchell Zahorsky of Columbus, WI. She is also survived by other relatives.

Nora was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Scott Zahorsky; great-grandparents, Gerald and Louise Zahorsky, Les and Edith Starner, Andrew and Margaret Anfinson, Robert Ahrens and Beverly Lange.
