Obituary
Sun Prairie - Duazong Her, age 44, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at her home. She was born on August 14, 1981, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Nhabee and Kangying Her.
Duazong was a graduate of Edgewood College. She led a very God-oriented life, volunteering for many organizations, including those which served people with disabilities. She was a bright personality who brought joy to so many people even as she herself went through numerous personal struggles. Dee was also very musical, and she played in the church worship team at Victory Hmong Alliance Church in Madison. She loved being a mentor to youth and enjoyed being a piano teacher to many of them. She also loved reading and writing and found joy in being a member of a book club as well as reaching out to pen pals all over the world.
Duazong is survived by her parents, Nhabee and Kangying; brothers, Toufue Her (sister-in-law, Mala Vue), Toujon Her and Toujames Her; nephew, Caleb Her; nieces, Brooke Her and Paige Her; and honorary sister and best friend, Leah Lipska.
A funeral service will be held at Gunderson Oregon Funeral and Cremation Care, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens.
